2025 IEEE ICDM – Student Wins Rising Star Award!

An AI Passion Project student has received a Rising Star Award from the 2025 IEEE International Conference on Data Mining! ICDM is the Google Scholar No. 12th ranked publication in the field of Data Mining & Analysis! This award recognizes students who have submitted exceptional papers with high reviewer scores. 2025 US Presidential Scholar – Student Wins!

An AI Passion Project student has been named a 2025 U.S. Presidential Scholar! In 1964, President Lyndon B. Johnson signed Executive Order 11155 to establish the Commission on Presidential Scholars to recognize outstanding scholarship. This year, 161 students were named Presidential Scholars out of a high school graduating class of 3.9 million. Click below to see a redacted copy of the student’s Press Release:

2025 ICDM – 3 Students Accepted!

Wow! Three AI Passion Project students have been accepted to present and publish with IEEE ICDM, the Google Scholar No. 12 ranked publication in Data Mining & Analysis [with an h5-index of 49]. Additionally, CORE conference rankings has IEEE ICDM listed as an “A” rated conference, with the decision notes indicating “Almost 50% (205/418) of established researchers publish here. Click below to see the acceptance email:

3 High School Science Researchers Accepted for Presentation at SIAM NCC 2025!

Three of our students have been accepted to present research posters at the Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) Northern and Central California Sectional Conference (NCC25). The SIAM NCC conference is scheduled for October 27-28, 2025 at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
